Frequently Asked Questions

  1.       Is Partnership Academy a public or private school?

Partnership Academy is a public charter school. Charter schools operating in the state of Minnesota are tuition-free public schools that operate independently of traditional school districts. They are governed by boards comprised of parents, licensed teachers, and community members. All students are welcomed by charter schools, regardless of need. Our authorizer is Project for Pride in Living (PPL).

  1.       What grades do you serve?

Partnership Academy enrolls students in grades K-5. We offer a free all-day kindergarten program. Although we currently do not have preschool program, incoming kindergarten students are invited to participate in a special kindergarten readiness program the summer before classes begin.

  1.        How long is your school day?

Our school day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM.

  1.        What is your average class size?

There are approximately 26 students in each class.

  1.        Do you have a uniform policy?

We require that all students wear navy blue pants, shorts or skirts with a PA red polo shirt. PA polo shirts are available for purchase from the school. On Fridays, students and staff are encouraged to wear a casual PA or college top and jeans. The school will call parents of children not following the uniform policy and ask that proper attire be delivered to the school.

  1.       What meals do you serve?

Partnership Academy provides students with breakfast and lunch. Our school participates in several of the United States' Department of Agriculture's meal programs, including the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, and the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program. As part of the enrollment process, each student's parents or guardians complete a food program application that determines their eligibility for the free and reduced price meal plans.
