Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Focus Group
The intentions of this program is to provide resources and information for parents so they can have a better understanding about Autism and teaches and provides resources for them to work with their child who is on spectrum.
This group meets the last Monday of every month. We invite people who are experts on this field so they can come to share ideas on how to work with students who are in the spectrum. This program is also open to the community.
Entre Mujeres
This is a program for women to build their self-esteem as well as to learn about sexuality and how to talk to their children about sex and the male and female reproductive systems. This is a 12 session class.
ESL Classes
This is a class offered to PA parents but is also open to the community. This program starts in November and concludes in May.
Middle School Fair
This fair is held in early December and is a program for families with students in fifth grade to attend so they can determine which Middle Schools are within the community so that they have an idea of where they want to enroll their child.
PAC (Parent Advisory Council) Meetings
These meetings are held once every month and are intended to inform parents about resources within the community, provides information about the school, school policy discussions, and community resources.
The focus of this program is to provide community resources for the families. It is intended to help parents be better parents by learning different strategies to discipline their children. We invite experts on this field who will come to give information about what is the right way to discipline the child without getting in trouble with the law. We also invite different people from the community who will provide information in various topics such as:
